April was born into a family of performing musicians where music was always the love of her life. She trained in music since she was a toddler and finds absolute joy teaching and sharing the gift of music with others. April has Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music Education. In the Chicago area, April is head DJ at the XDance Swing Dance Club. She also started a weekly WCS & Hustle dance night on Wednesday at a local area bar called Galway’s in Elmhurst, IL. April is a popular DJ at numerous national dance events across the country, including: Swing City Chicago, Wisconsin Dance Challenge, Florida Swing Vacation, and Tampa Bay Classic. Recently, April received the highly prestigious DJ of the Year Award and was recognized by her peers for her excellence in the art of DJing. She was presented with her award in May 2010. |
Beth Bellamy - Staff DJ |
Beth is a well known and respected DJ on the national WCS circuit. During her 15 year stint as a DJ, Beth has been a featured DJ at a number of premiere swing dance events across the country including: Boogie by the Bay; Capital Swing; Liberty Swing; Seattle Easter Swing; SwingDiego; Swingtime in the Rockies; Greater Phoenix Swing Dance Club’s July 4th event; and, the US Open. Beth was inducted into the AllSwing DJ Hall of Fame in 2004 and was named AllSwing DJ of the Year in 2003. Beth has also been active in the dance community for many years. She is a founding member of the Santa Cruz Swing Club and has served on the planning committee and as an Event Director for Boogie by the Bay for over 10 years. Beth currently lives in Crown Point, IN. When she isn’t traveling around the country working at swing dance events, Beth works as a Software Engineer. |

Ken Dillard deejays in the Chicago area, where he has works consistently at a number of Swing dance events. He works or has worked for some of the local area dance clubs including, Swing 'N Country, XDance and Genesis Dance Club. He also deejays occasionally for West Coast Wednesday at Galway in Elmhurst, IL. On the national level, Ken has worked for The Chicago Classic, Florida Swing Vacation, and Dance Camp Chicago. He's a member of Global Swing DJs and All Swing DJ. Ken is also a two-time winner of the DJ Challenge at Swing City Chicago (2007 and 2010). You can reach Ken at: www.kennethdillard.com. |
